…… Joseph Abbati’s “Apollo Is Viewed from the Cupola” is a 76 X 56” cotton tapestry that has been woven using the pointillism technique (or to be more modern, in pixels). If you stand back, it appears that a statue of the Greek god of prophecy, music, and healing is peering down through the glassed rooftop at the viewer below. When you get up close, you can see each tiny, differently colored dot making up the highly detailed picture.
